Performance factors of the molding process

Excellent quality and dimensional accuracy are essential for all metalworking, including molding, forging, cutting and stamping. Processing outcomes depend largely on the lubricants and release agents used. They must be easy to use, with minimal residue and without affecting downstream processing. Norbert Lubricants has developed and produced process lubricants that fully meet these requirements.

Norbert Lubricants' process lubricants

Perfect quality and long service life: Our process lubricants provide products with high surface quality and protect tools and materials.

Low-residue clean working environment: Machines, tools, and working environments can maintain low levels of residues, water vapor, and odors for a long time.

Easy to use and low consumption: Save time and money in production.

What is a process lubricant?

Process lubricants are lubricants and release agents required for a wide range of metalworking and forming applications, such as sheet metal forming, block forming, or aluminum continuous casting.

The first choice for metal processing

Pipe bending and deep stamping, forging and continuous casting, stamping and cutting have very different requirements for mold release agents.

What they have in common is the high demand for a clean process, with the goal of minimizing residues and reducing tool and mold wear.

In addition, the process should not produce any water vapor or pungent odor. Lubricants or release agents must not affect further processing. This is very important for painting, welding or coating after the workpiece.

High-quality process lubrication: a lubricant suitable for your individual needs

Norbert Lubricants offers specially developed products for a wide variety of applications in metal forming and machining. The right process lubricants and release agents help the forming process to achieve extremely high quality, long service life and reliability. The most suitable process lubricant to apply depends on the material and metalworking process, tool surface and machining speed. Temperature during processing is also important. For cutting, stamping and bending processes, lubricants and release agents with minimal residue usually work best. For thermoforming, lubricants containing solid lubricants (graphite in most cases) are used.

Norbert Lubricants' range of products for molding processes includes lubricants with or without solvents, graphite oils and suspensions, deep stamping lubricants unique to the global market, and innovative products such as powder and lubricant varnishes that keep machines running economically.

The advantages of using our process lubricants

  • We offer a wide range of proven products for a wide range of applications
  • Reduce operating costs by reducing wear and simplifying subsequent processing, resulting in a better and more economical molding process
  • The finished parts are of excellent quality, and the tools and molds have a long service life
  • Easy to use, reduced workload
  • Very few residues reduce the impact on downstream processes
